HWDMS offers instrumental lessons on all the symphonic wind instruments along with lessons on classical and electric guitar, electronic keyboard, and percussion.

You may already know which instrument you would like to play and in the vast majority of cases this is fine. Occasionally however, people are uncertain or simply not suited to a particular instrument due to physical requirements. HWDMS believe that it is sensible to be aware of these prior to taking lessons and suggest that advice is sought from experts.

Therefore HWDMS runs a series of introductory sessions, where you can find out about the instruments and ‘have a go’. It costs nothing so there’s nothing to lose.

However, it is important to remember that whichever instrument you decide to learn to play, only regular practice will enable you to progress.
